Even though it’s exciting and rewarding, entrepreneurship can be a lonely journey for some.

As an entrepreneur, you’re responsible for every aspect of your business, and this can be overwhelming at times. You may also feel burdened to learn everything necessary to grow your business, or sometimes even feel isolated, with few people to turn to for advice or support.

So if you’ve experienced feelings of self-doubt or burnout, or if you simply just want to connect with like-minded individuals, get updated on business news, and gain knowledge that’ll help grow your business—you’ve come to the right place.

In this article, I’ve put together a list of the 10+ best entrepreneurship newsletters that help you feel more connected, inspired, and confident in your entrepreneurial journey. These newsletters offer a wealth of knowledge and insights into the business and startup world, as well as communities of other entrepreneurs who will support you along the way.

Plus, they’re awesome to read and can be a great start to your morning routine 😉

So without further ado, here’s a list of the 10+ best newsletters for entrepreneurs to keep you informed and inspired:

  4. The Hustle
  5. Morning Brew
  6. Foundr
  7. Y Combinator
  8. Paul Graham’s essays

1. Thinkific Newsletter

Thinkific is a software platform that enables entrepreneurs to create, market, sell, and deliver their own online courses. Their mission is to revolutionize how people learn and earn online by giving them the tools they need to turn their expertise into revenue.

With that mission, the Thinkific newsletter is the perfect weekly newsletter for new content or education creators setting up a sustainable business by selling courses online. It features:

  • Weekly business strategies for creator educators to become game changers in their industry

  • Exclusive content, inspiring weekly challenges or industry news

  • Step-by-step resources for every stage of the course creation journey

When embarking on a new journey as an entrepreneur, you may sometimes feel lonely or doubt yourself. The Thinkific newsletter—beautifully described as “the newsletter that reads your mind”—can be the trusted companion or a safe space for entrepreneurs to get accountability, support, and guidelines on the next steps in their often siloed journey.

And it definitely delivers on its promises. I particularly enjoyed this newsletter that came out at the beginning of 2023:

I love the personable approach adopted here. It’s like having a friend to support me whenever I feel doubt or lose trust in my ability to “make it”. And certainly, other people who get the newsletters feel the same:

Your newsletter is one of the most phenomenal support resources I have ever encountered. As far as people go who are putting quality helpful information out there, you’re tops. While I’m sure you have deadlines, your publication doesn’t read like a person spewing out content to fill space. It’s really helpful. And personable. That is an incredibly valuable and wonderful thing

Who it’s for: Content creators or creator educators on their new entrepreneur journey

When to expect it: Weekly on Wednesday

2. The Leap

With its own brand separate from Thinkific, The Leap website hosts an enormous amount of actionable resources, in both written and video form (check out their TikTok page).

Another newsletter from Thinkific, The Leap—as its name suggests—is a weekly newsletter for those who are “ready to take the leap” and grow their business. It could be you who’s thinking of making money online and ready to take your first step, or your friend who’s been in it for a while but hasn’t seen much result.

The newsletter is designed as a 5-minute breakdown of advice, tips, and stories. By subscribing to The Leap, you’ll get:

  • Industry trends or news
  • Tips on audience growth
  • Tips on monetizing your business
  • and more!

And of course, The Leap newsletter is loved by many:

Who it’s for: Content creators who are ready to take the leap and grow their business

When to expect it: Weekly on Thursday

3. Trends

Among the sea of millions of newsletters for entrepreneurs, Trends stands out with its unique content that delivers, as well as its rare newsletter-business model.

By subscribing to Trends, you have access to:

  • Ideas: Have vetted business ideas or emerging business trends months before they pop, weekly in your inbox
  • Community: Gain access to their private community of more than 16,000 individuals rooting for you and your success
  • Events: Join live training events or access their offline database of lectures from industry experts, in topics like SEO, marketing, operation, and fundraising

And did I mention that Trends does deliver? Here are some success stories from Trends’ community members:

  • Narek took the indoor plant business report from a Trends newsletter, launched a D2C plant startup, gained valuable advice from members in the Trends community, and raised $1.5m in funding 40 days after building the business.
  • After gaining feedback from the Trends community, Craig repositioned his side business selling peanut butter “Nerdy Nuts” and had 20x growth (from $60k in 2019 to $1m in 2020).
  • Chris Koerner built his 3rd-party logistics company, Send Eats, based on Trends’ article about the A to Z of XaaS (anything as a service). Chris has grown from one customer to $100,000 in revenue.

Now you may be wondering… with that value, is Trends for free?

The quick answer is no, it’s not. Trends is a paid subscription newsletter—readers pay $299 for a year’s worth of invaluable insights. Of course, if you’re not ready to make such a commitment, you can try out the first 7 days of the newsletter for $1.

Who it’s for: Entrepreneurs looking for growth advice or people interested in launching their own business

When to expect it: Weekly on Tuesday at 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. ET)

Now if you’re still not ready for a Trends’ annual subscription, how about its free sibling?

4. The Hustle

The Hustle is a daily newsletter delivering the latest business news and trends.

With 2m+ subscribers, The Hustle is one of the most popular newsletters in this round-up, and for good reason. Not to be mistaken with an American movie with the same name—although, wouldn’t that be fun?—The Hustle adopts a unique witty, snappy tone of voice, allowing it to break down complex topics into easily digestible pieces.

An edition of The Hustle’s newsletter features:

  • Business news of the day
  • What’s trending around the business and tech world
  • Some very-on-trend memes

Sooo… if you love memes and business trends with dad jokes, you’ll probably enjoy The Hustle immensely. Just like their current readers:

Want to check them out first before subscribing? The Hustle website hosts their latest newsletter of the day. You can also visit the newsletter archive for a full collection of past newsletters.

5. Morning Brew

Another daily newsletter, Morning Brew delivers the latest news from Wall St. to Silicon Valley to you in an informative, witty writing style.

Every Morning Brew newsletter starts with a nice good morning and a snippet of the stock market, then a round-up of the latest business and tech news around the world. Of course, besides business news, Morning Brew also delivers…

  • snippets of the world’s current affairs,
  • random rabbit holes you didn’t know you’d need (like what an Italian grandma cooks),
  • some games (cue image of your grandpa sipping a cup of coffee and doing the crosswords),
  • and an answer to a random question—sometimes (most of the time?) with the question withheld from you. The latest Morning Brew answer is $150,000—take it what you will.

If you want to dive deep into a particular topic/industry, there’s a version of Morning Brew for that too. Check out the different Brew Brands featured on their site; examples include Marketing Brew, Tech Brew, Healthcare Brew, Money With Kate, and more.

The weekly Foundr newsletter contains a round-up of the latest blogs published on their site, as well as insights and tips on how to start and manage a successful business. With over 300,000 subscribers, the Foundr newsletter is one of the more popular entrepreneur newsletters on this list.

7. Y Combinator

Founded in 2005 by Paul Graham, Robert Morris, Trevor Blackwell, and Jessica Livingston, Y Combinator (YC) is a startup accelerator and venture capital firm that provides funding and mentorship to early-stage startups. Twice a year they invest $500,000 per company in a large number of startups and work intensively with these companies for three months to help them best pitch their business to potential investors.

On this note, I need to mention a blog…

8. Paul Graham’s essays

A co-founder of Y Combinator, Paul Graham has been regularly sharing his thoughts and insights on a wide range of topics such as startups, technology, entrepreneurship, writing, reading, etc. in the form of essays on his personal blog

His essays are highly recommended for their thought-provoking insights and practical advice. Plus, it’s very easy to read—in one of his essays, he goes into detail on how he strives to write simply:

“I try to write using ordinary words and simple sentences.

That kind of writing is easier to read, and the easier something is to read, the more deeply readers will engage with it. The less energy they expend on your prose, the more they’ll have left for your ideas.

And the further they’ll read. Most readers’ energy tends to flag part way through an article or essay. If the friction of reading is low enough, more keep going till the end.”

Even though this is not a newsletter—you’ll need to check out his page to read the articles—it’s still such a treasure trove for entrepreneurs that I need to include it in this list. He’s written so much over the years that if there’s something startup-related you’re wondering about, chances are he’s covered in one of his essays.

Some of his most famous essays on entrepreneurship include:

Who it’s for: Entrepreneurs, readers, writers—basically anyone who’s interested in thought-provoking, practical ideas

Where to read it: Paul Graham’s articles

9. The Saturday Solopreneur

Need something to read on the weekend? Check out Justin Welsh’s The Saturday Solopreneur newsletter.

Justin Welsh successfully built two $50M+ ARR companies, teams of 150+ people, and raised over $300M in venture capital before getting burnt out and deciding to quit his job in 2019. Now he runs a boutique advisory firm for entrepreneurs and creates digital products for creators.

His weekly newsletter, The Saturday Solopreneur, sends out (you guessed it!) every Saturday morning, containing 1 actionable tip to launch, grow, and monetize your internet business. It’s quick, short and sweet for those who don’t have much time on their hand. His website also hosts past newsletters if you want to check them out.

The newsletter has 90,000+ subscribers and has received tremendous praise from professionals in the industry:

10. Growth Design

Now we’re jumping into a more specific territory: product design. If you’re an entrepreneur looking to build a product with the best user experience, or if you’re looking to improve the experience of your existing users—the Growth Design newsletter is for you.

Co-founded by Dan Benoni and Louis-Xavier Lavallee, Growth Design is a community of 123,000+ people who care about crafting meaningful experiences for their users. People from thousands of organizations—be it lean startups or businesses in the top 10 of Fortune 500—subscribe to their content.

The Growth Design newsletter is a bit different from the other ones on this list in that the most valuable piece of info doesn’t lie in the newsletter itself…

Each weekly newsletter links to a product case study where the Growth Design team analyzes what contributes to a product’s success (or failure) from the perspective of product design and consumer psychology. Clicking the link will lead you to an animated case study story:

Want to check out past case studies? They’re all available on the Growth Design website.
